Location: Downtown Brunswick, Maryland

The Maryland Renaissance Festival continues through October as it celebrates its 50th season. Visitors can explore the village of Revel Grove while enjoying jousting, live performances, handmade crafts, food and costumed characters.

Downtown Annapolis transforms into a waterfront showcase featuring new powerboats, marine equipment, boating accessories and educational opportunities. Visitors can board boats, speak with industry professionals and enjoy the atmosphere around City Dock.

The Suburban Maryland Fall Home Show took place October 3–4 at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship. Baltimore events are also an easy drive from many Howard County communities.
The Frederick Festival of Flight, Brunswick Railroad Days, Maryland Renaissance Festival and ZooBOO! all offer activities that may appeal to families. Parents should review admission rules, schedules and age recommendations before attending.
